Will the kindle 2 ever go down in price?

   I guess not. Just see what happens to Kindle 1. It is out for one and a half year, but the price never drop. When Kindle 2 is out, Kindle 1 is no longer sold and all we can get are used versions. I just checked the price of used Kindle 1 from the link below, it is now at least $275 (but from time to time depending on the offer). So not much difference even for an "old used" version which has been out for one and a half year…

   So I think similar will happen even a newer version of Kindle is out. But that could be another one or two years. I’ll suggest to buy it early so you can enjoy the convenience it brings earlier. And when the new version of Kindle is out, you can consider sell the old used one so it will save you a lot of cost to switch to new one. I’ve my Kindle 2 for about a month and it really helps my efficiency a lot. You can check with some reviews to make up your decision:

   No one knows, but it is unlikely in my opinion. Price is actually decided by the demand on market. Since the Kindle 2 doesn’t have any real competitor in the United States (no reader can give such a strong book content support like Amazon, and the free Wireless access everywhere), so I think Amazon will just keep their practice on price just like the old version Kindle. You know, they will not lower the price unless they can earn even more after lowering the price… But right now, Kindle 2 is hot selling enough already.

   If you are considering to buy Kindle 2, I’ll suggest you to read the actual customer review on Amazon. It is the most informative place telling you what the Kindle 2 can do. You should be able to make up your decision there:
