No colors????
What about pictures im into physics so i need alot of math and pictures ???
for the same price or less you can get a net book
which will hold all the same books and more
download books for free online..somewhere
plus it’s a computer so
yeah
and you can store them yourself
and it’s color and light
and it will open as many different files as you set up
lol
I’m not trying to hype up net books but
this thing is just so stupid
This is ugly: no color, slow, and this will never be like reading a real book. I cannot take photocopies as real books, I can.
OF COURSE it doesnt eliminate the need to print or photocopy… what if im a teacher and i need to give a copy of a page to all the students?
What if I wanna lend a book to a friend? I have to loose all my books, magazines, etc or I cannot lend it…
sux.
no… if book companies stop printing books then paper companies stop cutting down trees, as they don’t have demanders.
I think no single e-reader still has it, in the way that the ipod did when it revolutionised the way we listen to music. I’m surprised that Steve Jobs hasn’t picked up on this market, the reading market has huge potential! I think Apple has what it takes to revolutionise the concept. Time for the I-READER!!!
the world gets lazier and backwards everyday
schools will have this in about 10 years watch
I read all the time on my old Palm… have a whole library in there after couple years. Maybe i should get this thing.
I found one in Japan, made by fuji, it’s in color, it’s big (a great size A4 and letter size screen, you can read your text books anywhere), but it’s very expensive ($900) and it’s slow. The new kindle dx is very good, but it’s expensive. There is a company in England (Plastic Logic), they are developing a new e-reader device(with a A4 size screen), according to them this will be less expensive than kindle, but in 2010 will be available.
Good idea!!! I like to read books, but the problem, for me, with paper books is the way I have to keep them open while I’m reading, with this e-reader it’s like holding a single sheet of paper(a little bit heavy but not that much, it is less heavy than a small wide book).
imagien breaking THAT.. shit.. books dont rip..
Free internet access as long as you have a wireless (phone) signal, free access to Wikipedia, it’s basically an Ebook free Enyclopedia…..
Holy Crap it’s the Hitchicker’s Guide To The Galaxy!
wait a minute….
the book printing companies don’t go out and cut down trees. They purchase preprocessed wood pulp, paper, to print on. So if book companies stop printing books there would be a surplus of paper that would go to waste.
you chicken fucker
That’s why I said to make books, not read them you dumbass.
This is crap. Let the Japanese do a real ebook instead of this BS. Waste of money and resources.
Ugly ‘techie’ gadget. Who actually want to read a book or a newspaper this way? SIGH
Your local library > Kindle
no they were already cut down. We just aren’t letting the paper go to waste
i’m gonna stay old fashioned…unless of course HE comes with the kindle.
Why are you using the internet? If you’re worried about your eyes you should be in a dark room somewhere.
Books don’t need batteries.
I WANT ONE OF THESE!!
wow this might take over the newspaper history…
CAN YOU READ COMIC BOOKS ON IT?
no what’s a waste is cutting down millions of trees to make books
