Help with digital camcorder with card reader.?
Hi i just got a samsung MX-10A digital camcorder. it saves the videos you take on a memory card (or sd card). NOTE i do not have the driver, i just use my card reader. so i take my first video, put the card reader in my comp. i transfer the videos to my computer i click on them, Windows media player opens up, but it only plays the sound! there is no video at all its just the animation windows media player plays during the song. So i tried it on my mac. I works fine! then i tried it on my other pc computer. It doesnt work. I think that i need some kind of mp4-a codec. its saving as avi files but when it plays in windows media player before it starts it says while its loading "acquiring codec" please help me!

You’re right – the video is MPEG-4. You should be able to play it with VLC Player or you could install ffdshow which would allow WMP to play it.
you can also download gspot at http://www.headbands.com/gspot/ to check what type of video it realy is. before downloading the codec.
