An elegant gift for any event:

I’ve downloaded Kindle and Nook apps for the iPhone 4, and no directions on how to get the eBooks onto the iPhone itself.

Oh, and before I ask this… if "Cherry-Bomb" comes in here and tells me to read "real books", it’s not going to happen. Mass market paperback novels take up space, smell like the crap they’re printed on, attract dust, attract silverfish, and roaches eat the glue and binding.

No.

Anyways, my question is about the Kindle and the Kindle program for the Android/iPhone/etc.

If I’m signed into my account reading a book on my Kindle, and I leave off on a certain page, can I start up my phone and leave off where I stopped on my Kindle and vice versa?

I think it would be really cool if I was reading a book at home, and then I was at the dentist office and I go "Hey, let me just pull my phone out for a second and read a few pages". When I get home, I just start where I left off on the phone!

I do not own and amazon kindle, but i do have the app for my iphone and downloaded the kindle application to my PC. There’s this certain book i really need, and i tried downloading a sample of it but amazon tells me i have no registered devices. I do have registered devices, i tried other books and I allows me to download them. I notices the book i wanted is only for kindles, and not other devices. I was wondering if there’s a way that I can get it to work on my devices without having a kindle because really need this book badly for school. Thanks any help will be appreciated.

Without access to the US appstore, so far only the Kindle app for iPhone (not iPad) is available on Installous appstore.

Hi!

I was wondering–is the Amazon Kindle app on the Iphone really free? It doesn’t charge you monthly or anything like that does it? It just seems kind of cheap, that’s all. Also…..would you say it’s worth it?

Thanks so much! I really appreciate it!

Also–I just tried to add it and it said "Verification Required"…so I do have to purchase it?

See, I don’t like the concept of Twilight and I’ve heard the grammar is horrible. I bash it a lot. But I feel guilty doing so because I’ve never actually read it. However, I wouldn’t be caught dead anywhere near a copy. But I want to see what all the fuss is about. Can I read it online or something? I don’t have a kindle or ipad/ipod touch/iphone. I don’t want anyone to know, but I’d feel like I could insult it more or really just get an opinion easier if I read them.

let me be clear: i dont want them to put on an iphone or a kindle or w/e else there is to read books.
I MEAN: can i simply download books onto my computer so i can have them to read whenever. with no fees or w/e. just so there on my desktop like any other app.

i have a feeling thats not possible but i was just wondering..
