An elegant gift for any event:

From Amazon.com, Kindle is easy to hold and read. We designed it with long-form reading in mind. When reading for long periods of time, people naturally shift positions and often like to read with one hand. Kindle’s page-turning buttons are located on both sides, allowing you to read and turn pages comfortably with one hand from any position. A family member broke both her arms and we live out of state. She is an avid reader. Would a Kindle be an appropriate gift? Is there a stylus that she can use with her mouth? Any other ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!!

I am looking to buy either "Kindle" from Amazzon or Barne’s & Noble’s "Nook".

Any idea where I can get these in India? In Bombay more specifically?

Can you comment on your experience on these 2?

Thanks

on my kindle when i search gideon the cutpurse it comes up with 2 books, gideon the cutpurse and gideon the cutpurse: being the first part of the gideon triology. they both look the same, the plot and the amount of pages are the same, but the publishing date and the price is a bit different. i’m asking this because on accelerated reader it says gideon the cutpurse: being the first part of the gideon trilogy and i got the normal gideon the cutpurse. so im asking if you think it’s the same. thank you all in advance.

Hi,

looking at buying an e-reader though little about them. In any case it looks like the Amazon’s kindle 2 is one candidate as is the sony counterpart.

Does anyone out there have any preferences? I am not interested in paying for wireless capability in what ever it is I decide to buy.

What I do want though is a gadget that is hard-cover size, is easy to read and can handle as many document formats as possible ( pdf, chm, doc etc)

Thanks

Looking to buy an e reader, but it would really be helpful to be able to view the various models. Well, actually I maybe down to just 2 of them the Nook (Barns & Nobel) and the Amazon Kindle. It just seems silly to me to buy it on line without at least having the opportunity to compare them in reality.
How do others handle this concern?
