I can’t decide if I really want one, what I really want to know is if they’re just one of those things you use for 2 weeks, put in the closet, and never look at again. Also, should I get a kindle or a nook? I like the redesigned kindle, however, I like the nook’s interface. Which one has a cheaper book store and has more selection?
I really really really want a kindle 2 reader, but it isn’t my birthday until December, so I’ve downloaded the kindle for Android application to my Sony Ericsson X10 Experia, I’ve only downloaded one book so far, but I read it within a day, I noticed at the end of the book that it said "quick read". Are all the books supplied quick reads? Is this the same on the Kindle reader? If this is the case I won’t be buying one, I want the full version of the books!! Does anyone know please??

Where can I find a coupon code for Clear Semi-transparent Amazon Kindle 2 E-Book Reader Silicone Rubber Skin Case
Can someone explain it without linking me to an amazon discussion. I get confused a bit.
This is the new one and in comparing it to the old Kindle it’s missing the Free 3G Wireless Internet. Does that mean this new Kindle won’t let you go online?
I’m so confused on WiFi. That’s basically the internet right? Why don’t people call it the internet anymore? What is the difference in WiFi and the internet? Will I not be able to go online if a place has no "WiFi"?

What’s the difference – Kindle WiFi or Kindle 3G + WiFi. What is the difference?
I just want to be able to go anywhere in my city and have my books, newspaper, and surf the net and check my emails. WiFi, internet, 3G whatever. Which one will let me do that with no hassles? I don’t care about one being a few ounces smaller. It’s SMALL enough. A few ounces doesn’t make any difference.
This is my one good consumer deed of the year to redeem myself from all the scandalous downloading I do the rest of the time. Amazon Warehouse Deals has this refurbished for 0, with US wireless only. You have to hunt around for it, and it says there is only one in stock but that is a lie, so take your time and consider this for a great deal!
I’m planning on buying an e-reader because i feel guilty for killing so many trees by purchasing paper books…(plus i want something lighter to carry around) Can someone help me decide which one to buy??? the Price doesnt really matter to me. I love how much neater the kindle 2 and a little faster and SO AWESOME o(^_^)o….but the nook allows you to read full books for free if yur in a barnes and nobles store *O* and you can exchange books with friends for 14 days….SOMEONE PLEASE HELP ME DECIDE!!!!!
there’s a kindle 3 now???? can you please send me the link??? wow…talk about awesome timing o(*-*)o
@ Cherry Bomb
sorry but im pretty determined to buy an e-reader because i want to be a little more eco-friendly
if i add up all the books i ever owned i probably already killed 40 trees :L
sorry i understand what your trying to say but an e-reader would help me stay organized and if you but a book off an e-reader you probably save about 0 a month
Besides i don’t think books will ever die out because i don’t plan on throwing a single novel of mine away when i get a nook/kindle ![]()
i’m sorry if i dissapointed you but please forgive me
i think this generation will surpass anything mankind has every known
D glittery vampires, touch screen stuff, and cars that change colors according to your mood (like in japan)

My friend’s birthday is coming up in November and she REALLY wants an e-reader. She is legally blind, so she has to be able to blow words up like x500% to read anything. Right now, I am leaning toward the Kindle 2 since she isn’t very picky about looks and it seems (from reviews) to function a bit better. I am worried about the keyboard though, since the buttons seem kind of small. Does anyone know which may be a better choice? Should I stick to the Kindle 2?
