I have a Canon 20D. I have a card reader connected to my computer with the SD card in it. My computer is reading the card reader but not reading the SD card. I cannot find any software online for the camera so that I can connect the camera directly to the computer and upload them that way. Does anyone know how to get the pictures off the camera with these issues?

I just got a new Gateway laptop with a built-in media-card reader. But my SD card from my Kodak Digital Camera won’t work in it. the computer recognizes it as a removable disk, but tells me it needs to be formatted. Obviously, when I format it, I lose the pictures. But the formatting process won’t even finish – I get an error message. Pics still get deleted.

After I attempt this formatting on the computer, and I put the card back in the camera, the camera needs to reformat the card! Once I do that, the whole thing starts over again in a vicious cycle.

How can I get my SD card to be read on both my Kodak Camera (CX7430) and my computer?! The photos are in JPEG format, and should be interchangeable! My old USB plug-in card reader stil works in the new computer, but I don’t want to have to use it anymore!
Ok, my ULTRA SD card (1 GB) will not work, but my SanDisk SD card (128 MB) does work in the card reader. Having already reinstalled the media drivers for the laptop, I’m trying to contact Ultra now to find out the deal. Any suggestions?!

I used to have lots of personal digital photos on my computer, of friends and family and such.
I also used to have lots of random photo files saved on my computer that I saved from web surfing, such as art work, interesting finds, etc.
Through the years I ended up deleting everything, thus leaving me with no personal photos, which I now greatly miss. I want them back! So, intelligent friends, how do I go about getting JUST my digital photos back? What’s the quickest, easiest, way? I am hoping to recover photos from 2004-2006, if possible. Please point me in the right direction! I am pretty handy with the computer, but I have no clue where to start when it comes to recovering files. (P.S- I’ve tried some free photo recovery downloads whilst using a memory card reader, but they only recovered about 100 photos on each memory card I had…is there a program that would deeply recover? Maybe even every single photo taken on the memory card?)
Thanks for all help! This means a lot to me!

My dad just got a Brookstone digital picture frame and I want to put pictures on it. I was wondering, is there any way I can transfer pics from my computer to the memory card without using a memory card reader/writer? Maybe through my camera or my printer which has a memory card slot? My computer keeps saying that the memory card is write-protected. Thanks so much!!!!!!!!
