Do you need to give credit/debit card details or something like that? I am thinking of buying a kindle and am based in the UK. Would this be any different for me? Would there be a problem when purchasing from the UK? Also, if I take my kindle abroad, would it still be possible to buy books from the kindle store?

I was wondering for those who have a Kindle and purchase Kindle books, do some books come in PDF format and are fine for reading?
