An elegant gift for any event:

I’m getting a Nikon 55-200mm f/4-5.6G ED IF AF-S DX VR [Vibration Reduction] Zoom Nikkor Lens and I was wondering about getting some macro filters and just a lens cover. But, I can’t find them on amazon.com . Does anybody know what kind of filters I would need and around how much they would cost? Thanks in advance!

After my disappointment with the outcome of the Apple iPad not including the feature to be able to read iBooks from the iBook Store, I have no choice but to return my concerns of ebooks on the Amazon Kindle, quick I have no problem with. Ipad vs Kindle ebook reader www.wireless-reading-device.net The Apple Ipad is for browsing the web, playing games and music, email, using apps but how does it fair as an ebook reader against the Amazon Kindle wireless ereader?

Have been thinking of getting an eBook reader for a while, and after extensive shopping around am still unsure as to what the best one would be. It has to be able to play PDF’s and ePub’s, and be available in the UK. Price is irrelevant.

Here are a few of my thoughts on the main ones:

I like the touchscreen on the Sony – but they’re constantly bringing out new ones.
I like the look of the Barnes and Noble Nook – but software reviews are coming up disappointing.
I like the wireless feature of the Kindle – but I DO NOT like the idea of having to get all my books from Amazon.
I like the value for money offered by the iRiver – but PDF support is glitch and as most of my eBook collection is made up of PDF’s, this is not acceptable.
I like the bright, fresh design of the Cool-Er – but the reviews are terrible.

Does anyone have any other suggestions for me to look at? Links would be great, but I can always google if not :)

Thanks in advance.

I’m looking for an ebook reader that I’ll be able to easily download all available book titles from. I was looking at the Amazon Kindle but have heard that the store is quite limited for South African users even though the Kindle is available here. Does anyone know what will be suitable or do i just stick to my paperbacks? :)

I just got my Kindle DX last night. Im from Costa Rica so there is no wireless coverage.I had charged it starting early evening and it’s already morning and it still tells me that if I want to continue charging I should disconnect it from my computer. How long do I have to charge it cuz I cannot do anything while it’s in USB mode, and there’s no amazon wireless here? I wanna start getting books into it but I cannot. PLEASE HELP !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
