I recently purchased Kindle DX and still waiting to receive it. I am very excited about it but a little concerned about a few things …. If I do get Kindle for PC from Amazon and stert buying books for it, can I transfer those to my Kindle DX when I received it? I am hesitating 2 buy books for PC yet without knowing if I can actually put those to my Kindle DX. Help!

I’m sure that it isn’t in sleep mode (I slide the power button over for about 15 seconds/until the screen is white). I don’t use my Kindle 2 often just for travel on airplanes and such where bringing books is a pain. However, I will leave my FULLY charged Kindle 2 on the shelf for long periods of time. I fully charged it Thursday night and tonight (Sunday) it is practically dead and it’s the first time I’ve turned it on since charging.
Does anyone know what the problem is and how to fix it? It’s driving me nuts and makes it practically useless to me.
Also, the battery dies EXTREMELY quickly even with the wireless OFF. Is this common or is my battery defective?
Thanks.
Does it promote more reading?

I have a Canon G3 with a 512 memory card.
it was given to me by a buddy who is now in Japan – and I have no way of contacting him…
And I have no clue how to use it, I’mplaying around with it for the first time tonight.
So here is the question.
Once I have taken the pictures, and loaded them into my computer – how do I get them off the card?
Any help greatly appreciated. I’m a techtard.
Thanks a bunch
I know the Kindle’s web browser is pretty horrible, but I have a few questions about it anyway:
1. Does it work (where there is 3g) outside of the US, specifically in England or Italy?
2. If so, is it still free of charge?
I checked the coverage map and it looks like both England and Italy have 3g, but I can’t tell if that means 3g for buying books or for the web.
Thanks!
