Is it possible to copy the already available pdfs in my pc into a digital reader (Kindle or Sony or any other) and read it?

I am wanting to buy this kindle but I want to make sure that I can really use the free wireless feature that Amazon is mentioning. IS it hassle-free? I hope someone could share their Kindle experiences in the Philippines. Thanks!

I’m really beating myself up for it, the renaissance was in town a few months ago and that would have been the perfect place to have gotten one, DX. Where might one get one? (besides online on websites like amazon and ebay.)
